Essay Hub

This is where ACFA Creative House keeps the long-form work — the parts that take time, ask questions, and sometimes make noise. Essays here aren’t written to “perform.” They’re written to leave receipts, pull apart systems, and document what’s real (even when it’s inconvenient).

Inside this hub, essays live in two main lanes:

Field notes that are works of fiction, a general account of experimentation at the studio, and the occasional narratives of human mess of being alive. This is the sandbox of Porch where nothing is polished and messy fingerprints are left behind.

Stories and verse from the house engineer — short stories that wander at porch speed, and poetry that punches. This lane is for imagination, not infrastructure.

If you’re new here, start with the two doors above. If you’re returning, browse by category and follow the trails. Everything is connected — on purpose.
